Health and environment: A new joint challenge for businesses?
Wednesday, September 18, 2024, 09:00 - 11:00
11 avenue de Friedland, 75008 (map)
Climate change generated by human activities has a direct impact on our health. What harms the environment also harms the human species. This is particularly true for respiratory diseases and certain chronic illnesses like diabetes and obesity, which are partly caused by environmental disruptions.
Businesses, as major players in the economy, have both the responsibility and the capacity to address these challenges jointly.
They can play a dual role by reducing their own environmental impact and contributing positively, for example, by supporting public health initiatives or climate change adaptation efforts.
But do businesses actually consider these two issues jointly? Practically, how can we work to preserve both the planet and human health? Finally, can the concept of “One Health” be aligned with business interests?
Health and Environment: a single and shared public interest… Our guests, including business leaders, associations, and figures from the academic and scientific communities, will jointly shed light on this major issue.
